When God is Silent

Manna for Today

During a mission trip, I was part of a team that worked tirelessly to help a village. We spent hours evangelizing, ministering and praying for people, hoping to bring about a positive change in their lives. However, despite our best efforts, we were not seeing any results. We were disheartened and started to lose hope, wondering what else we could do to make a difference. Our team continued to pray, fast and plead, but we still couldn't find any answers. As time went on, our faith began to falter, and we were left with a sense of despair. It was a difficult situation to be in, not knowing what to do when God seemed to be silent and unresponsive. If you've experienced this before, you may be wondering what to do in such circumstances.

One of the most important things to do is to persevere in prayer. Even when it feels like heaven's door is shut, keep knocking. It's often through persistence that we are blessed with spiritual breakthroughs.

When we experience moments of silence, drawing closer to God can make all the difference. The Bible promises that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. So, why not take this opportunity to lean into God and experience the love and comfort He can provide during challenging times?

Always remember that even when it may seem like God is not working, He is always present. He may be working behind the scenes to bring something good out of a difficult situation. The story of the disciples who walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus is a great reminder of this. They did not recognize Jesus at first and thought He was just a stranger, but He was with them the entire time, though they did not realize it until later. This story reminds us that even when we cannot see God's hand at work, He is still with us and working for our good.
