Break Free

Manna for Today

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith... Hebrew 12:1-2

Let us strip off every weight that slows us down:

For 2024, it is important to enter this year with no baggage from previous years. Anything small or big that could be a heavy burden is not worth bringing into the new year. Things like unforgiveness, jealousy, bitterness, and hurt are things that have emotional weight and could often bring us down.

Under no circumstances should you enter the year 2024 carrying the burden of sin. Sin is a destructive force that will not only bring you down but also act as an anchor that pulls and sinks you to the bottom of the pit. It will rob you of peace and keep you up at night, as it brings condemnation and guilt into your life. Do not let shame take over. Take charge now and rid yourself of sin before it's too late!

There is a way to relieve yourself from the burdens weighing you down. It's simple. Just turn your focus to Christ. When you center your attention on Him, you'll find that nothing can lure you into temptation. You'll find that no burden is worth carrying. Jesus Himself said so in Matthew 11:28-30

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

I understand that finding peace with oneself can be a difficult journey, but it is my sincere hope that this year brings you a sense of peace and clarity. Remember to hold on to your beliefs and not let the small things compromise your faith. I believe that by freeing ourselves from inner turmoil, we can extend a helping hand to others who are struggling. Let us walk this path of life together, supporting and uplifting one another along the way.

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith...
