First Baptism at Dinner Church
We’ve had an incredible year, thanks to the blessings bestowed upon us by God. It was on October 13, 2023, when CJ, a young man, expressed his heartfelt desire to be baptized in water. Since we didn’t have a church setup available, I proposed the idea of heading to the nearest lake and performing the baptism in accordance with the teachings of the Bible. CJ willingly agreed to this alternative.
CJ has been living on the streets, without a home. He has no relationship with his father, and his mother is behind bars. There are no other family ties. During his youth, he struggled to connect with his foster families and eventually ended up on the streets at 16.
Despite his acquired bad habits on the street, we have witnessed significant improvements in his life. At the moment, a few attendees are helping him acquire his identification card and birth certificate in order to begin working.
After the baptism, we gathered at the shore and could feel the palpable presence of the Holy Spirit. Everyone emphasized the incredible power of God’s presence during this humble communion. We shared Bread, drank wine, and concluded the gathering with a prayer followed by a pizza dinner.
